The childhood dream of singing for a major TV show has come true for one lucky teenager, Anju Mariam Verghese of 12 C, GIIS-Queenstown campus.

Anju is the winner of the Star Voice of India auditions in Sinrgapore conducted by Star TV. As the winner from Singapore, Star TV had invited her to record a song in the studio to be telecast on the Star Voice of India. Anju was the only participant invited from Singapore.

We talked to Anju, who is currently in Mumbai. “Selection in Star Voice of India really inspired and motivated me. I am glad that I got this great opportunity. It gave me a chance to meet many Bollywood stars and famous music composers. It was such a great experience for me to sing in front of them.

I also got a great chance to sing a group song with the famous Bollywood singer Shaan, which I consider to be the most unforgettable experience of them all ! I also got to meet and spend my time with the main contestants of Star Voice of India, which was a dream come true for me. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Star TV for giving me such a great opportunity to sing in front of such celebrity judges. I am thankful to God for giving me this talent, without which nothing would have been possible.”

Anju Verghese’s group song performance with Shaan will be telecast on Star Plus this Sunday, 9th at 00:30am with a repeat telecast at 7pm the same day.
