Inspired young minds add zest to GIIS SMART Fest 2012

Focusing on the marvels of Science, Math, Art and Technology related applications, GIIS SMART Fest 2012, organised by GIIS East Coast Campus on 11 Feb proved to be a super success.

Confident presentations by students from Classes 1 to 10 and participation from students and parents were a distinctive element of the event filled with interesting projects, hands on activities and experiments. Talent of a different kind was seen in the dance performances, fashion show and musical performances which were based on usage of eco-friendly materials.

From Kindergarteners and senior students to teachers and parents the campus was filled to maximum capacity as visitors went around on a tour of the various exhibits. The classrooms displayed models based on robotics, weather, seasons, concept of Time, alternate sources of energy, Global warming and preventive ways as well as projects based on Math concepts. Each model and project was explained meticulously by the student creators throughout all classrooms. The children who had put their heart and soul into the projects and display also got an opportunity to visit the other classrooms and participate in various games.

To commemorate 10 Years of Excellence in Education, GIIS is celebrating the spirit of Creativity, Knowledge and Diversity throughout this year.

In this quarter - marked as the 'Celebration of Knowledge' - GIIS is organising a series of special events to foster the joy of knowledge-sharing; bringing bright minds together in competition and cooperation, moreover, to learn with practice and enthusiasm.
